Hi there! I'm Dae, and I'm an Australian university student who's currently on break from postgrad study, research and placement work in Optometry. I'm 20 years old, and I love cats, science, nature, astronomy/outer space, and music (I'm big on symphonic metal, and my favourite bands include Nightwish, Kamelot, Within Temptation, and Delain). Fandoms I love include Rise of the Guardians, How to Train Your Dragon, Pokemon, BBC Sherlock, Merlin, and Harry Potter.
I utilise Jcink forum hosting for roleplaying forums that I run or write on (in my signature if you wanna have a peek, heh). Best free forum host I've ever had the opportunity to use, and I'm definitely not moving away from it any time soon. :]

Rise of the Guardians is my most favourite movie ever, to the point where I made my own roleplaying site for it. I just want to hug and love on the whole thing and its characters and the people who made it. I was devastated by its comparatively low levels of popularity and reception to other Dreamworks + animated movies, and that it probably won't be getting a sequel, but the Tumblr, dA and fanfiction communities are something to be reckoned with, and I'm on a single-man mission to get the forum community to watch the movie if they haven't.
I could gush about it forever and ever. I saw it in the cinemas seven times, and now that I have it on DVD and on my phone... I've lost count. xD Everything about it is just perfect. And it literally gets better for me every time I see it again. The animation was so precise and stunning and poignant, every tiny little action, word or event tied in beautifully, its pacing is excellent, the characters are captivating and larger than life, and its theme and message really took me back to the wonder of childhood and the wonder of living. I'd reached the lowest point in my life last year, and RotG played a big part in reviving me.
If you haven't seen it yet - I highly recommend you should! If you really sit back and absorb it and take it as something that's not just a children's movie, but an exposition on the virtues and vices of humanity, it's really touching. And if you have seen it - what are your thoughts on it?

POKÉMON EPICA is an epic spin on the traditional formula we know and love -- the adventures and adrenaline, the discoveries and delights, and the myths and legends come to life. We're statless, flexible and diverse, based across all six main-series regions post-game, and draw some inspiration from the anime, manga and spin-offs. Canons are encouraged and all sorts of OCs are welcome.Other Information:
The joy of picking out your first starter Pokemon. The wonder of exploring wild and beautiful realms. The satisfaction of building up a team to be reckoned with. The adrenaline of challenging Gym Leaders and facing rogue forces. Best of all, the myths and the mysteries at the foundation of each region, promising epic clashes between good and evil that underpin human nature and influence the balance and fate of the entire world.
This is what Pokémon Epica
stands for. We are here to relive and create new experiences like those from the main video games -- the adventures, the delights, the enigmas, the legends come to life. We're an epic spin on the traditional formula. Both originals and the major game canons are available as characters, and all have the potential to be game changers
So come on. Relive. Recreate. Replay. And change everything.

Inspired by the Dreamworks movie Rise of the Guardians, GA blends magic, fairytales, childhood stories, superheroes, concepts and mythology in a classic tale of good vs. evil. Other Information:
Saint Nicholas. The Sandman. The Tooth Fairy. The Easter Bunny. Mother Goose. The Boogeyman. The Man in the Moon. Real, real, real. Every one of them is real for you as long as you believe in them, but even if you don't, magic is becoming manifest in the world. Childhood legends, fairytale figures, mythological beings and even modern superheroes are arising.
The Greek, Roman, Norse, Egyptian, Gaelic, all other pantheons? Real. Quetzalcoatl and Anansi, Merlin and the Avatar? Real as well. The Fairy Godmother, the Big Bad Wolf, the Grim Reaper and the Leprechaun -- you guessed it, they're out there.
The Earth will never be the same again, and immortals and mortals and magical creatures alike are becoming embroiled in the war between the virtues and vices of the world. The Man in the Moon and the Boogeyman are each recruiting to their cause, and both sides have to give it all they've got if they want to tip the balance. With the darker side of human nature already clashing so dramatically with the light, nobody can say who will prevail.
